Kerry brings a distinctive combination of legal training and land-use expertise to his practice. Before entering private practice, he served as Staff Counsel for the Virginia Outdoors Foundation, where he developed deep experience in conservation easements and land protection. He has since broadened his practice to include commercial and residential real estate transactions, stream/wetland/nutrient banking, land use law, landlord-tenant matters, and other land-related legal services.

Kerry continues to work closely with prospective conservation easement donors, owners of properties already protected by conservation easements, and private land trusts, helping clients navigate the complex intersection of property rights, regulatory requirements, and long-term conservation goals.

Outside of the office, Kerry enjoys writing and performing music on a variety of instruments, fly fishing and fly tying, reading, and spending time with his wife and two teenage sons.
